About
My focus is simple — to develop strategies that have impact and undeniable results while honoring God.
I lead from a position of trust and clarity — building teams that own outcomes and stay aligned through change.
I plan past the next quarter. The audiences, formats, and economics that will matter in three years shape decisions today.
Strategy is connecting dots others miss — across content, distribution, partnerships, and brand.
Deals, hires, and creative work all run on relationships. I invest in them like the asset they are.
Numbers are a language, not a verdict. I use them to ask sharper questions and avoid expensive guesses.

My walk with Christ spans 45 years — plenty of mountaintops, and (many would say) more than my share of valleys. The work-ethic and "character-forming years," as Mom and Dad called them, started early: paper routes, lemonade stands, the carwash, and helping run the family's rental properties.
The marketing and sales career now spans 35+ years. It started humbly — selling family portrait packages at the mall (dating myself), electronics out of the trunk of my car, cookbooks and children's books door to door, then general contracting and flipping properties.
With no formal schooling, I talked my way into a meeting with CEO Bob Smith and walked out an Account Executive at Dur-A-Flex, the "Pioneers in Epoxy Technology." I went back to school soon after for business administration and marketing communications, and spent the next decade on what I still call the God-given ride of my life — selling into small and mid-sized businesses across New England, then stepping up as Director of Marketing & Sales Support. I built a "Lunch & Learn" live tour that put architects and engineers in the room and put our products into the specs of Fortune 1000 projects. On the side, I was taking a relational-database programming class and quietly building the data engine behind our lead flow — an early, homemade version of what the industry now calls funnels and drip campaigns. God used my love to "geek out" on data to prepare me for doors He hadn't opened yet.
A few years later came First Data. As Director of Business Development selling complex risk-management data APIs and services, I broke into the insurance giants — Geico, Allstate, State Farm, Progressive — thanks to a forward-thinking VP named Tim Maurer who gave me the shot. At the time, First Data was the largest payment processor in the world. I sold and learned inside the Solutions group until it was absorbed into Merchant Services, and I chose my next move.
The biggest break into the faith space came at a pre-screening of End of the Spear, the Jim and Elizabeth Elliot story. My wife and I were undone by the film — and equally struck by three men in the room: Scott Evans, Ron Forseth, and Marc Harper. I told them I wanted to get involved. That conversation turned into a nearly decade-long run helping build the Outreach Media Group — online, in print, and in person, the first to bring all three channels to church leaders at scale. I had a front-row seat to the growth of SermonCentral.com, ChurchLeaders.com, Outreach Magazine, and the National Outreach Convention.
I've been blessed to serve on the boards of Christian schools and mission-focused non-profits, co-founded America's Top Lists, and continue to live at the intersection of vocation and faith-based / faith-adjacent media, entertainment, publishing, and live events — with adjacent work in education, higher learning, and ministry consulting. The constant: helping purposeful organizations grow, spreading the Good News, and using data to steward the increase well.
A few lines about what you're working on is plenty.
